Zippo, özgün ve karakterlere uygun hazırlanabilen tasarımı sayesinde bir çok filmde, ateşe ihtiyaç duyulduğunda ilk tercih olmuştur. Bir diğer tercih sebebi ise; Hollywood, filmlerinde daha çok Amerikan ürünlerini kullanmayı tercih ettiğinden, Zippo bunun içinde bir adım öne çıkıyor.

Buried – 2010 – Ryan Reynolds’ başrolü üslendiği filmde, Irak’ta bir tabuta canlı olarak yerleştirilir. Yanında üç şey vardır: telefon, bıçak ve Zippo çakmak.

WALL-E – 2008 – computer-animated science-fiction romance film by Pixar Animation Studios. The story follows a robot named WALL-E, who is designed to clean up a waste-covered Earth far in the future. He eventually falls in love with another robot named EVE, and follows her into outer space on an adventure that changes the destiny of both his kind and humanity. Wall-E collects Zippo lighters which still work 700 years into the future
